Official expansions' interchangeability.
Hi,

I have previously bought Rimworld and its expansions on Steam but, I decided to buy the main game again on GoG due to no-DRM and being able to play offline without that in-game screen saying Steam is offline.

Something I noticed is that I can copy the DLC expansions that I bought on Steam and use them on the GoG version - the DATA folder even has a Readme file with its title referring this. As such, I was wondering if this is ok with the devs or, on the other hand, buying the two expansions again would be required.

Thanks.

You can copy the whole game right out of Steam to anywhere on your drive. Rimworld doesn't actually use any DRM anywhere.

OP can subscribe on Steam and copy and paste mods as well. The only bummer is they paid twice (for the base game, that is) to get something DRM free, that is already DRM free.

I can think of worse things than buying the same game again which, between GoG and all the other digital game stores (some with draconian DRM implementations), seems to be a too common occurrence nowadays. Besides, supporting the devs for a good game is always a plus - can help them make more expansions or Rimworld 2.

NO argument there!
