Might be able to change your style via dev mode. I believe you can edit everything about your Ideology

Other than in dev mode disabling all together totemic or reordering so other style overwrites the totemic armour stylising. I cannot imagine other possibility.

Unless i'm mistaken the ideology of the one crafting sets the style of the item. So one possible solution (with using dev mode) could be getting a crafter with another ideology and let them craft it.
