Does leader need social?

I know social is important for moral guide, but does a leader really need it? What does it affect?

It affects the rituals in which he is the doer, also with the peace quest now says you supposedly should send your leader to do it otherwise might be interpreted as an insult.

Other than that haven't noticed or dont remember right now anything else.

So social is needed for guide and leader

No, social is used very little for the leader. It's only checked during trials and leader speeches. It's not used for any of the rituals the leader is in charge of.

For world map quest where you need a leader, you can bring your leader AND social guy, for this it's not important for your leader to be the one speaking.
