look up what you pawns meditation focus is: if you click on it it will tell you all the object he can meditate to. Those are object that "connect".
For example pyromaniacs do meditate to open flames (torches, braziers and stuff), however even if it connects to a meditation spot, a pawn with only a natural or artistic focus would not receive any buffs from meditating there.
BTW, for buffs I mean an increased psyfocus gain.
If your pawn are not psycaster or you are not trying to grow anima grass, meditations spots are mechanically useless.
You can use them for rp reason, for example making a meditation room or having pawn meditate in their room only. Meditation does give solitary recreation after all and pawns can do this activity even when not set into their schedule.
- graves/sarcophagi for morbid traits
- art for non-tribal backstories
- anima trees and their additions for tribal backstories
- blank walls for ascetics (never done that one. dont know if it needs a spot)
Then it's up to you to place a meditation spot for the pawn which links to at least some of those specific objects.
Technically no meditation needs a meditation spot, they'll use a suitable focus if one is available. Spots simply ensure that they do it where you want them to.
