If you're not going to be using this pawn to do trading with the Empire or to give throne speeches, their lack of social isn't going to matter much.
I'd prefer not to cheese it (though I love the suggestion!), but I do not plan to use the pawn for trading nor throne speeches. I already have a pawn who is Baroness, and her husband is a Praetor, both of whom have excellent social skills.
I think I'll just go for the title to get this other pawn started at psycasting. Thanks for the clarification on the game's warning...it didn't really explain "why" it was bad to have a title on someone with no social capabilities.
You can just make that pawn a royal that can't do social. You can't do the unlocked trading or speeches, but from the sound of it, you don't need the unlocked trading anyway.
As far as I know, they removed the possibilty of buying the neurotrainers. Sources are now:
- bestowing
- quests
- anima tree
- killing the bestower
- blinding ritual (:edit)
I would like it if they added the buying part again though, since killing the bestower and gifting stuff to make them happy again is very close to that, just very very weird. And they seem to acknowledge this as a normal way of getting it.
Also true
OH, SNAP! I never noticed you COULD renounce a title.
Damn, thank you SO much for telling me that. Once you said it, I see the button for it right where one would expect it to be.
I am ever so grateful for this information.
Edit to add: I do think game mentions that you can renounce titles at some point in the process. I believe I just simply forgot all about it.
And killing for neuroformers is really acknowledged by Ludeon. That's why they bring two of them. It's only cheesing if you find a way to do so without getting the 70 orwhatever reputation loss.
For this one pawn, I'm only interested in the psycasting, but I don't really want to maintain another throne room for her long term. I'll get the psycast levels and then renounce the title so that I can re-purpose that room.
They can meditate on a throne without it being in a super big, fancy (and expensive) throne room, after all.

Ya know, fairly often, there's complaints in this forum about the game not being realistic.......
That trick you just posted ain't realistic, but it's hilarious. ("gee, our hosts turned up the thermostat until we passed out, then they took our gear........bah, must have been an accident")
According to information I found when searching that question you cannot share throne rooms except for married couples.
Was that changed?
