archonexus quest worth it ?
ok so in my playthrough i got a quest saying "hey give us your base with absolutly EVERYTHING in it) with 350K, and we give you only 5 guy and 5 animal to set up new base

wow i find this to be SO SO not worth it !

so here is the question i get a map fragment for this archonexus, is it like overpowered god like items or ?
in short is it worth it ?
because WOW what they ask in exchange is absolutly abysmal !

That's part of the Ideology questline to end/win the game.

Okay, okay... stop right there.
You get to choose 5 of your pawns and 5 animals plus one of your ideo relics to start your next colony. They aren't given to you... the only thing given to you is the map part.
The Archonexus quest run is a means to an end... a way of transcending humanity and leaving the Rimworld as a new transcendental being.
You will need 3 map parts to find the Archonexus and each part may be traded for.
Yes, each of the three colonies you build must have a minimum of 350k total wealth and you must also be allies with the faction you trade in your colony for the map part.

I've completed this twice now and I had a blast doing so!
It was totally worth doing as it offers another way to end the game, albeit a long haul, which is fine as it lengthens the game.
My advice to you would be to use a transhuman ideo and to wait until you have skilled up and outfitted your chosen 5 before you trade in. As in all things Rimworld, preparation is key ;)
Also, try to make sure one of those 5 has a high crafting skill because you are going to need someone with at least crafting 8+ in order to use the fabrication bench and make the advanced components and gears/weapons you will need/want to use.
Stop worrying about being short changed and look at the long game... give it a go ;)

Here's the thing. If you get all map fragments, you can take your colonists to the nexus, the screen will fade, and you will get an endgame message. Is that worth it?

We play for the journey, not the destination. This gives you the opportunity to start a new colony with old characters, and gives you a goal to aim towards.

Okay, okay... stop right there....
so say that I have a bunch of legendary golden grand sculptures totaling up to 350k in a colony, can I do that instead? because I'm kind of committed to the current colony i'm building (with all the mods I have working, giving it all away is a huge ask).

When you accept the quest you lose everything except for the five pawns, five animals, and whatever they’re carrying (including whatever’s on the animals). You move to a new tile (you can choose it). The original colony is gone (it turns into a faction base with a standard faction base layout) and you start over. All pawns besides the five you choose become world pawns. You might see them again as traders or raiders but they are no longer under your control.

That's the whole point of this ending choice... you trade-in all of your worldly possessions in order to achieve transcendence, not once, or twice, but three times ;)
Also, don't get too hung up on the 350k colony wealth value. That is the minimum required, but you will likely have developed your base and pawns to a lot more than that before you are ready to trade in for a map part.
Plenty of statues is fine, but the wealth should be the investment in what you take with you to the next colonies... your pawns.
At least for the first map piece, that's actually advisable because you will have an easier time of building your next colony if your pawns are well equipped and trained.
And for the 2nd and 3rd colonies, it may well be that developing your relations with enemy factions to a level of ally will take a long time and in that time your colony wealth will far exceed the 350k minimum.
For example, usually I trade in my 1st colony when it's at around 700k, my 2nd and 3rd at around 1M ;)

Or just don't do that quest.

The other ending quests allow you to keep your colony I believe with some will be launched into space and lost forever.

I’d been wanting to do a mega base run for a long time and thought I’d do it for my first ideology run (try to get 100 pawns), but once the base was looking swanky and I could handle most things I decided to go for the archo nexus. It’s not like I’d have any use for the colony after I did the other end games. I made a save, snapped a screen shot, and moved on.

The first colony was one of my favorite base layouts, too, although not the most efficient. I’m on the second one, and this time I’m trying to get to 350,000 with as few pawns as possible (the rp is that the five miss their old friends), but I have the charity meme so I have to take a lot of misfits in. Up to eight, but that’s a lot different than the 37 I had in colony one.

Anyway, it’s interesting starting over with top tier pawns. I just wish there was a better story than “sell you colony.” I mean, WHO is doing the selling? The five who leave? Doesn’t that mean they’re betraying their family/friends/cult members? There were dozens of uplifting/epic story lines they could have used for the same mechanic. Don’t like the idea that one of my favorite pawns from the first colony -the guy who never broke, was always right where you needed him and had the skills to get the job done- ended up as a pirate.

I'd be down for the research or even feature unlocks, that does sound like it would give me some more incentive.
