Can you use resurrector mech serum on someone with a destroyed brain?
My colonist died and i want to bring him back and was wondering if it would still work with a destroyed brain.

He was level 17 at Research aswell.. rip

How should that person survive without a brain?

Yes you can and it works.

The ressurector mech serum works on any corpse as long as it's not desiccated. It will regrow any missing limbs and organs.

ah okay, and is it only obtainable through quests?

I think there's a very low chance of getting it from anything that has loot? Like quest rewards, ancient dangers, and camps. Might be wrong, though. I think you could very, very rarely get them from traders, too?

It will resurrect with brain injury. Also, depending on the corps contidion it could gain dementia, blindness or resurrection psychosis.

Your most probable source is going to be from a quest. Comes up not irregular for me in current play I noticed when actually looked for one.

Yeah! I had one resurrector and a stack of luciferium from an attempt to revive my original colony lead. Though alas, lack of tech resulted in was dessicated before got it done.

However later I opened up an ancient danger and found within some ancient soldiers. One was excellent, easily captured and made the new colony leader (epic double passion social vs none). One hostile and killed but an amazing shooter. Last one was downed neutral... but a hundred years old with all the ailment.

Res'd and captured hostile one next. Healer serum dealt with bad back later on.

Lastly.... 98 years old, hearing loss, frail and dimentia... Luciferium shot picked up speed, and now zippy mcgee!

Nanomachines son!

No, death can only be defeated rarely. It's a very rare quest reward, same category as anti-grain warheads, orbital bomb targeter, healer mech serum etc. These can also be gained from quests.

Nope. Certain things like any of the nanite based stuff is all lostech from the Archotechs. (Architects?) Archotech is all the powerful and mech stuff.

Ah, ok. Cheers for the info.

You can implant the AI persona core into a pawn. I think this should allow for resurrection of a pawn and replace the missing brain. I would love to be able to do a
Dr. Frankenstein thing using just vanilla/no mods.
