Stone type order
Does it matter what order the stone types are when selecting a landing location?

Like if its say marble, granite and limestone.
would that mean the majority of the map is marble

and for like granite, limestone and marble then most of it is granite?

Reason i am asking is cause i just downloaded the prepare landing mod and i noticed you can chose the order of the stone types.

They all have something different as ''strength''
Marble gives more beauty, Granite is the sturdiest and sandstone is the fastest to work with.

i know the difference in the stones, i just asked when you look at what stone types a tile on the map has and they are in different order

I would like to know this as well.
Based off of my what I've seen, the order doesn't seem to matter because I always aimed for 'marble' first, before anything because I like marble. But the last map I played on had majority sandstone in it.

I never check this, but it usually spread equally in number. But it doesn't matter anyway, you can use deep drill to produce more chunks of the type you want.

Idk for sure but I think that out of my many maps that I have done, it does seem to be the first one listed as usually the most dominant stone type. I pretty much only play mountains and always want marble and granite and it might just be me but it seems like it goes that way. If I pick a marble and granite map I tend to see more of a marble large mountain with granite mixed but could just be me since I always thought thats how it worked.

Pick them based on which two you want to build your walls out of. The first is the most abundant. Granite is good for wall strength. Marble makes good sculptures but stone sculptures can take a long time compared to wood. I like the look of limestone. Slate is the weakest and isn't ideal for walls. It makes nice floors though.
