Getting a Boomalope to a slaughter pen
I built a fire proof pen location specifically for slaughtering excess Boomalopes, but for the life of my I can't figure out how to get just the one(s) I want into the pen.

Can anyone clue me in?

create a zone there, restrict the individual boomalaope you want to slaughter to that zone

I have a zone there, but boomalopes are not able to be set to specific zones....they are managed by the game's "pen" logic. Or is there some way to change that default that I don't know of?

Try clicking the pen marker and removing boomalopes from the list of animals allowed in the pen. Then see if you can direct the handlers to move them to the other pen. Once the ones you need out have left, set boomalopes to be allowed again in the main pen so the handlers don't pull more out. I haven't used multiple pens yet, but this should work.

This, worked, though I had to be quick because other pawns also assigned to handling tried to move around boomalopes as I toggled the setting. It would work perfectly if I only had one handler. heheh

I did get the ones slaughtered, one a time, doing this, so thank you for the response.

This might work for you:

Though, to be honest, I just release/neuter.

That's where I'm going to eventually land. I'm pre-electricity and just had almost all my meat spoil though so I was trying to get a little extra meat.
As soon as I finish electricity and air conditioning research (which I'm working on right now), I'll switch to releasing excess.

Without mods, the best way I can think of is animal sleeping spots. Have the slaughter room with a single sleeping spot assigned to that animal. When it goes to sleep, close the door.
