Pawn gone out of nowhere, even in previous saves
Loaded my game up after a few weeks of not playing and after awhile noticed one of my pawns missing. Saw some threads saying to remove Prepare Carefully so I did and he didn't come back, is there anyway to spawn him back in? And no he didn't run away or get blasted to death, I went back to a previous save where he was alive and his work is there but not him. He's one of my favorites so I'm hoping for a fix.

I had this happen once, long ago, in like A17. I remember painfully going through the modlist, enabling disabling and reloading until I found the problem.

Prepare Carefully has no effect on the game beyond the point your colonists load onto the map, so removing it would not change anything, nor would it be able to cause an issue like that.

What likely happened is that colonist is some sort of alien race or had a modded trait, modded body parts/bionics, or something along those lines, and whatever mod added that thing was changed in the few weeks since you last played making your pawn invalid. If you can figure out what it was specifically that made your pawn vanish it might be possible to fix by removing or changing certain values in your save using a text editor.

Should mention you can sort your subscribed mods by when they updated. So this can help with what Astasia said.
I have no idea how to do what Astasia said but I saw a few threads that said getting rid of prepare carefully worked for them but it didn't for me. The pawn I'm talking about is from a mod but the mod seems to work normally and I resorted the mod to no effect.

Its sad because he was a beast. He was my wookie craftsman guy with a beta polyaxe. Beheaded someone then killed 4 people that crowded him. Very sad :(

Honestly. I had to make him sleep furthest from the workshop so he probably left because he had to walk a mile to work every day

Normally from my experiences I just always keep save backup files and have "starting saves" so if my playthrough gets messed up or something super bad happens I can just "restart" without having to regrind the load up and things.

If they're gone on all autosaves see if you have a manual save from way back that might have them on it. If not I would see if there's an import mod or a mod that can let you customize current pawns that you have to 'recreate them" perhaps?
Yeah he's deleted on all saves, theres even evidence of his work through the saves and it's depressing. Man got errased from space and time. Might just make a statue of him in the middle of the workshop.
Yeah my dude went disappearing in a SW mod game too. It's not that he's deleted it's that he's not able to load his body because of a conflict or change. Maybe something with bionics or a mod that added other races or somesuch.

Some of the SW race mods do not play well with one another.

Mine got deleted from existence. He doesn't even exist in the past anymore. My man got vaporized from time.
nono, he is there, he just doesn't load, I'm tellin ya. you introduced a mod problem. if you can revert everything back to how it was in the older saves he will be there. not if you save the game without him there but in the older saves--it's not like the game went through and changed your save files. Something is causing a screwup in how the game loads him.
