The multiplayer mod was borked by the last RW update and we're all waiting for them to update the mod. That's probably what the OP was referring to.

Not every game is meant for multiplayer. Nor is every game going to be single player (I know many multiplayer only games that have people screaming for single player)
There is no number that will make the developer add multiplayer. It's just not a thing for them to implement. Anymore than Blizzard is going to implement single player WoW.
it would be like if Kingdom hearts or persona added a multiplayer mode where u can play with and vs other players...
How did you come up with this? In what world was multi player ever promised for this game that would make you compare the devs to those crappy companies.
That is like saying "how much money does McDonald's have to make before they start giving free oil changes in your car?"
You ask as if you are somehow expecting something that was not only never promised, but has always had the response of "that is not planned"
Of course, that doesn't mean they can't add it, but they have certainly NEVER stated or implied that it was on the way!
Hell, even if they do add it, it should be as a paid DLC.
Edit: maybe not "should be", but more "could deservedly be"
See ^
Simply put, its the dev's game, their story and their project. If they don't want MP, cant be bothered or feel there is no need. That is their call.
You're more than welcome to make your own game? That is the only solution.
^-- This.
And, a subforum where all the multi-player complaints about the way a multiplayer DLC has been implemented as well as all the extensive complaints about the "quality of the expansion" that are, in fact, just users complaining about their own internet connection...
Oh, and fifty-eleven daily "lag" complaints all starting off with "I can play Skyrim just fine on my BetterThanYou9000 computer, so why can't this game fly a space-shuttle" are absolutely required.
But then people will start complaining that the game has drifted away from its original concept and that it has become another one of those games that tries to please everyone (and sell as many copies as possible). And if the multiplayer option is in the form of a DLC then people will start complaining that they have to pay for something that so many games have without extra costs. Oh and that Ludeon is going the Paradox way with all the DLC's.
I'm afraid the forums will always fill with complaints, whining, yelling, entitlement and so on. It's just impossible to please everyone and there will always be someone complaining that the game was not designed to their exact wishes and desires.
I guess that's "c'est la vie' as well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
