Why can't we train monkeys to haul items???
Haven't you seen that restaurant in japan thats almost only run by trained monkeys.
Or ever heard the expression he is monkeying after me! (means copying what i am doing)
they are pack animals and ones they are tamed then they should be easy to train.
it dosen't make sense that we can only teach them the basic and release.

Also Monkeys are know for stealing things and hauling them back to their nest all the times in nature so why can't we train them to haul items for us?

But for some reason we can train small Foxs to haul massive amounts of steel ore for us.

The game says they aree too small. They may be mini monkeys. I dont know if they grow bigger and can then haul, but if a fox can surely a monkey can

Every animal can move objects around (and honestly most of them can be trained to do so on command), the question is if they can move a meaningful amount of objects. In order to haul the animals need to be able to move corpses of any size creature and large rock chunks, so I can sort of see why it's disabled for the tiny monkeys in the game. There's a big difference between bringing somebody a drink, and hauling a boulder several hundred meters.

They used to be able to haul in earlier builds, maybe they were bigger.

In the real world there are some pretty small monkeys, weighing less than one pound fully grown.

They need both size and advanced intelligence. Dromedaries can be used as pack animals for caravans, but they got F- in logistics school.
