You can't.

You can solve the problem with either banishment, murder, or cannibalism.

I would of said the last 2. The first doesn't really end the relationship. At least that's what I'd think. They'll never 'chat' with each other to break up the relationship and they'll forever think it's possible to meet again. What I've done in the past is made sure the interlopers never meet via creful zone restrictions and eventually the relationship between the original pair improves but never the same. The chances of devources still the same, so it's a good thing they got a back up, eh?

Sounds like its time for someone to accidentally get locked in the freezer..

I think you can mess up a relationship by drafting one partner and having them attempt an arrest and attack them in prison w/ them before releasing them.
If I'm correct, that stacks opinion penalties. Albeit time consuming and risky.

Is this a mod? I've never had this happen in vanilla. If this behavior is the result of using a mod and you don't want it, why the heck are you using the mod to begin with?

Can't be....over 2000 hours played and not once have I had this happen. Colonists becoming lovers and getting married or breaking up? Yes. An affair? No...

I swear it is. I've had it at least once in each version since A16. And I didn't use mods at any point in A16.

Yeah, it's in vanilla. Had it happen more than a few times.

I always like sending the pawn I don't like to fight the nearest bear or cougar.
