What is the easiest way to obtain a new spine?
My only craftsman got his spine one-shotted by a lancer and now my colony is eternally crippled. What is the easiest way to obtain a new spine?

Vanilla does not have any fixes for a destroyed spine.

Yes it does since a while. Bionic spine or when you are lucky you get a healer mech serum

This is plain wrong, as there is a bionic spine, as well as a mechanite injection which is supposed to regenerate your organs, but I am unsure if it applies to bones as well.

I proudly stand corrected :)

I think the easiest way may still be acquiring a whole new pawn to do crafting with spine intact. could be wrong, but, that is one way of acquiring a new spine.

nah, bionic spines are pretty easy to get, just wait for an exotic goods trader to roll by and you should be fine

It does. Even let limbs regrow

Healer mech serum is a rare item that you can obtain through random missions that can cure any one injury, prioritizing the worst first. This can cure it. Otherwise you can try a bionic spine, assuming the doctor doesn’t botch the surgery. It’s something I’d want a very skilled doctor for though.

Try to trade with Outlanders in their cities. They usually have high rarity items, so your chance of rolling a bionic spine should be higher than normal. Though that said I play with mods that might mean they aren't even in the tables in vanilla, so my advice might be entirely useless. You're welcome.

1- Healer mech serum from quests
2- researching to the Fabrication Bench and crafting a bionic spine. You can then go to that colonists medical tab and add an operation "install part: bionic spine"
3- I've seen traders sell bionic spines and archotech spines, but I think archotech spines being sold from traders is a mod I have.
If you haven't already I suggest building a comms console. Orbital traders often have good trades.
Uhhhhhh. Luciferium is probably the easiest way...

Luciferium does not replace lost parts, nor is it an "easy" fix.

Luci is unlikely to work. Luci will, after a long time, remove a random hediff that is not a missing or destroyed part. Since shattered spine is the spine being destroyed, luci should realistically do nothing.

It's a pretty good mod, I reccomend it. The prices are very balanced
