RT fuses is a mod that is rather well balanced with research and build costs that adds fuses and reset-able circuit breakers to help
Battery isn't required any more. If you have a conduit with power going through it you can get the short circuit event now.
Ahh I didn't know this, how does the damage get calculated in that case? The amount of power being produced by power sources I presume?
Just yesterday had a Bzzzt event on the power line between my one wood-fuel generator, and my house containing 2 standing lamps. NO other electric devices yet, had just researched power , had not researched batteries yet.
Of course, the short did virtually no damage, as *that* is based on your battery storage total. With zero batteries there was just a single spark, notification of the event, and the teensiest scratch on the wall that carried the conduit.
Yellow = Random event
Red = Non-waterproof items (workbenches, batteries, ect) got rained on
It is, read the part he bolded in his quote.
The short circuit event used to require batteries to trigger, it does not anymore, that's what he was saying, and what I said earlier, and what you can find on the wiki.

If I did not experience the random event,n then please explain where my conduit got rained on, as it was INSIDE A FUGGIN WALL for the whole length from power source?
Yea, Astasia already pointed out batteries aren't necessary anymore for the random event to occur. However it seems like if you don't have any batteries, the event is entirely negligible.
Also lets not muddy the water for OP's question; Crematorium short circuits are caused by rain. Batteries and conduits in this situation are irrelevant other than the fact that they are powering the crematorium.
(No offense,, just funny)
The first reply answered the OP's question, there's nothing else to really add to it.
