question about freezer floors..
what kind of floor should i use in a freezer for food and raw stuff? does sterile floors do any good for that? or does it litterally not matter in the end the kind of floor i use?

It dosn't matter.
Food poison is determined by cook skill and cleanliness of the cooking area.

I have no floor in my freezer on my current map and have had steel and stone floors on past maps. So far the only diff I see is movement speed witch is not a major factor on this map bc i allow one way in and out and butcher tables and stoves ajacent.I keep my freezer at 28 degrees F. and have not seen any probs with spoilage or rot due to the floor being unfinished.

It does help so that you still aren't spreading dirt around to other parts of your base, though. at some mid-point or near end-point (based on research time, not on what you have done in your base), you may have ample stone or other resources where you can put flooring in your fridge for that reason.

Also good for a quick construction training.

There's actually a Rimworld science video on YouTube that tests the theory. The cleanliness of your storage area does affect food poisoning rates as well as the skill of the cook. Here's the video where the theory gets tested:

As far as floors go anything that isn't dirt, mud or sand should be good. Wooden floors, rock tiles and smoothed floor do just as well as sterile flooring. Rough stone floor is also really good because it is immune to dirt (or so I have been told).

That's where I got my infro from.
And he said if the clenliness of the food storage area had any effect, it's neglagble as he suspected that it was dirt being tracked into the food prep area.

i think that clenliness of the eating area might also matter, but others seem to think otherwise, so i am probably wrong. however, you do not want your freezer(or any tiles inside of your house) to be dirt. when colonist walk in dirt, it gets on their shoes and they track it into other rooms, making a mess and decreasing buety. does anyone know if this applies to dirt with grass, or only plain dirt?

just one zzzt effect in your freezer is all your food gone

Because we can't see the pile of dirt trailing in behind a person walking somewhere, I can't say exactly either. But I take that question out of the equation by tiling over dirt or dirt with grass, as long as it's within a few tiles of the entrance to some building. (Or ultimately, all the corridors between buildings or rooms get tiled up anyway)
