WASD stopped working for anyone else?

suddenly stopped. Everything else works, and obviously the keyboard works elsewhere.

Someone will be along shortly to suggest the root cause is mods. Until then just assume it's just you this is happening to.

i use no mods at all. vanilla as can be

Then I'd suggest trying steam verify files and see if that does the trick.

There's been no change to the game from a development stand point that would lead to WASD not working.

oh, yeah! thanks for checking. i did a reinstall and it magically fixed whatever the issue was, of course.

Were the keybindings still default, as per the Options->keybindings settings?

they were, i even tried resetting them in case and that wasn't it

for future recordkeeping I am currently having this problem. Vanilla, WASD and directional arrows were working then (I think) directly after following a prompt to view visitors they suddenly stopped

for record - no keyboard input, but arrowkeys worked
restarted game - seems to work, IDK
modded, and on Linux
