Any way to increase alloted memory?

I can't load the file I've been playing on for the past week, apparently due to memory shortage. Is there any way to increase it?

Outside trying to slot in more ram or get a better rig not much. Out of memory basically means your computer hit the absolute limit and can't run the colony anymore. Consider it one of the hidden win conditions of Rimworld. Win so hard the storyteller flips the table in a rage and refuses to play anymore!

Certain mods might increase memory useage, maybe. Disabling them could help. I'm thinking of things like the notification archiver which logs all notifications from the beginning of when it was installed into the relevant game.

well you can't download more ram lol.

You could increase your page file and see if that helps, go to my computer and right click, select properties. click on advanced system settings, go to the advanced tab, under performance, click settings and you can manually change it.

isnt there mod that reduces the memory allocation by clearing useless ♥♥♥♥ stored in the file? ike dead bodies etc

Isn't Rimworld limited to 4 GB of RAM due to 32 bit nature? So the only way around it is either using the mod mentioned above and if it doesn't help cutting down on the number of mods.

Dunno about the Linux version, I heard it had 64 bit client so maybe that problem doesn't exit there.
