Infinite Chem Reactor
I have one of these, and it counts down from 9 or 10 days and then... does nothing.

How does one get the chemfuel from it?

It does. It will simply dump 75 chemfuel next to it. Your people are probably automatically picking it up and hauling it away.

They're not. I have no chemfuel. But- there were no free spaces directly adjacent to it. Ususally that's not a problem in this game- it will dump nearby. But in this case- nothing is coming out.

How many chemfuel generators do you have. Cos they could be using it instantly. Skipping the storage.

I have no buildings or recipes which use chemfuel currently.

Sounds a lot like you are out of chemfuel and it is used instaly on ...something...

Are you crafting mortars ? ( i know you did say you do not use chemfuel on other things but you clearly are) ... that or you are using a mod that uses chemfuel one a thing.

If not we going to need a screenshot of the chemfuel generator and you full base, if you are going to have a chance to help.

Nope. Not making mortars.

Turn on devmode and see if any errors pop up when it ticks down.

next to the dev. option is to turn speed to 1 and watch what happends to it after it is dropped.

Are you using any mods that affect chemfull? I had something like this happen to me before but with food turns out my two mods where conflicting.
Davadin Jan 15, 2018 @ 7:13pm
No to the mods affecting anything here.

I could try the Dev Mode thing. How does one access it? I have no experience using it at all, so I may need some guidance here...
KrysisMode Jan 15, 2018 @ 7:27pm
enable developement mode in the options menu. It will activate dev mode and let you access the debug controls at the top of the screen. There's also testing options so you manually trigger the chemfuel reactor. After that it should throw up an error you'll be automatically shown.

If not click the little log icon to open the error log. Yellow errors are minor and show non-critical errors like missing definintions in mods or minor conflicts. Red, are the major issues and usually mean something crashed.

This'll be easy as enabling the option, manually triggering a chemfuel spawn and reading the errorlog for whatever pops up. If nothing does this is a bit more complex than expected.

OK- I'm in the Dev Mode/Debugger stuff, looking at all of the many options. And while I've started getting a sense for the vast array of tools there, I'm not seeing what can be used to trigger the reactor. Any hints about where to look?
KrysisMode Jan 15, 2018 @ 8:11pm
Annnnnnd thats where I put a facepalm gif in if this was the old imageboards.

Hah sorry, once it's on you'll get extra options for ALOT of objects. The chem reactor should have DEBUG:Spawnobject or some such nonsense when selected.
Davadin Jan 15, 2018 @ 8:13pm
Thank you for the prompt response. Checking now...
Davadin Jan 15, 2018 @ 8:15pm
Ok. I activated something, which then allowed me to click the Chem Reactor and have a new bottom-screen-option "DEBUG: spawn chemfuel". I click it, and nothing spawns.

So I go back to where I figure there might be an error- the Debug log, but it shows no new information at all.

Where do I need to be looking?
