Mine Cave-ins

How do I prevent cave-ins? Is there a support I can use?

Just leave a piece of rockwall every 10 space while mining. Or build a wall, but thats just an extra step.

yeah when planning to mine out a large area of say a mountain, without supports it'll cave in somewhere. its dangerous as if someone is under it they will be dead. but if you jsut want to get a large area mined out then build the rooms after the space is cleared, you'll have to build some temp wall structure every few tiles to prevent the cave ins.
