Why the hell would hay need to be refridgerated?
Hay actually spoils in this game if it's not refridgerated.

Yes, just like how in real life it rots.
That's what 'spoil' means in this game.

Irl, hay just needs to be kept somewhere dry and out of the sun. It doesn't need to be kept cool.....
hay needs to be in a covered area, it doesnt need to be refridgerated

That's what I'm saying. Barns aren't refridgerated, why would my hay storage need to be?

Most barns are during the winter...natural refridgeration.
any organic material rots, so will hay, it doesnt last for ever

Hay takes about a year to go bad in the game without refrigeration. If you're not using it fast enough that it's going bad, you're probably overproducing it just a smidge.

yeah an over abundance of hay to the point it spoils isnt a bad thing, just means your over producing, cut the crop back a bit maybe grow somethin else in its place.

It lasts a year, but typically would only rot if it got wet and not dryed real good fast enough. The vitamins deterioriate irl but in a game that shouldnt really matter, the dev def should of just gave the player this one, the game isn't finished yet though I might add, maybe he just thinks of it as balancing.

na keep it growing and make chemfuel out of the extra. as for keeping it in a fridge i dont see a big deal. sofar all grown products rot so grown hay which honestly might not be hay as we know it need to be refridgerated.

Hay decomposes fairly quickly when baled. The moisture is trapped inside and the decomposition process actually causes the haybale to heat up quite a bit. You should see a haybale sitting around on a cold fall morning steaming like crazy.

Straw, which is hay with the seeds removed, can be dried out and will "last" a while, but doesn't have the nutritional value.

Maybe Tynan could add a winnowing process to turn hay into straw so it will last a while, but I don't know what you'd want to do with a bunch of useless straw.

Create a burning man effigy in a desert biome and have a bunch of pawns get high on yayo, smokeleaf and beer while having a nonstop party.

Alpha 17

Because it was way OP, chemfuel can no longer be made from haygrass
