Caravans... come back home when there are enemies present?

That's it, I'm quite new playing. The thing is I sent a colonist to vist a place where one of my neighbours told me to go because there was an interesting item...

But i found enemies, my man just took food with him, and i want to leave that place and go back home. But i can't because it says there are still enemies in the area... and what do i care? i just want to go back home!

Any tips?¿
