Noble still doing peasant work.

I have a feeling I'm bugged. My noble who's now a Baron will still haul and clean and eat paste and whatever else is required, like he's some kind of commoner. This still occurs with all mods disabled. He still needs a throneroom/bedroom/fancy clothes, but those are the only restrictions that seem to stick.

Has anyone else had this happen? Is there a known way to fix it? I'm cheating by accident and I don't like it.

This has been a change, actually. Commoner pawns which are "promoted" to noble titles will continue to work as before. The exception are pawns with certain traits like "greedy".

Not a bug, the update in April made it so that non-conceited colonists will continue to do labor and eat whatever; as far as they're concerned a title is just a fancy whatever that someone in space calls them, they're still the same person. Conceited colonists include anyone with the traits Jealous or Greedy, and also includes any noble that you recruited rather than earned titles for yourself (Such as capturing a Praet and recruiting them).

Ah, thanks! Quite good to know. The in-game info sheet for the noble titles still says it restricts food and work; I was bamboozled!

Yeah, it is super confusing because of those. =(
