Did the backstories change? My colonist is now useless due to the gigolo backstory
Have not played in a while but booted it up and saw that my main cook was idle with no job to do. After checking his bio I saw that he was now incapable of doing anything due to his backstory of gigolo. Previously this was a rather good backstory with good buffs and the wiki page for it still mentions these details but the in game description is very different.

He is now incapable of dumb labour and incapable of skilled labour

Hovering the the backstory Gigolo now also lists:
Melee +3
Social +8

Cooking disabled
Construction disabled
Growing disabled
Mining disabled
Plant cutting disabled
Smithing disabled
Tailoring disabled
Crafting disabled
Hauling disabled
Cleaning disabled

This is clearly not what is stated on the wiki either. Does anyone know what has happened here?

There are 2 different Gigolo backstories. One of them gives Shooting +3, Melee +6, Cooking +7. The other gives Melee +3, Social +8, and disables all Skilled and Unskilled labor. This has been in the game since a least 1.0, but I don't know exactly when it was added. This isn't new, the wiki just doesn't have it listed for whatever reason.

It's possible an update caused the game to switch the backstories on you. If that happened you can just swap them back via dev mode. If you need to justify that to yourself, it's not even cheating since you're just fixing a bug.

Did you update the game? A mod might have changed but not sure why

No mods running, wanted to do a full playthrough on vanilla before I start modding. The game is always kept up to date though

You're saying that this colonist is useless, but I think you're forgetting something very important. This colonist (presumably) still has both lungs, both livers, and a heart. Keep him fed, and keep him close. He's graciously storing vital organs for one of your other colonists in their time of need.

Change his name to Meat Boy to solidify his role of subservience in your colony. When there's a job that's too dangerous for one of your all stars, then send in Meat Boy. If he meets an untimely end then he's fulfilled his role within your colony. Give him a hero's send off and dedicate a monument for him. If not, then you've averted risk to one of your main colonists.

All in all, he can still be a functioning member of your colony. Turn that GigolNO into a GigolBRO.
