Do pigs eat humans
I started to breed some pigs and want to give them a healthy diet. I have some haygrass, but I thought that some freerange human should be really good for my cute pigs.

For some reason they don't touch the human bodies I provide to them, though. Only my dogs nibble at those. So do pigs eat raw humans in Rimworld at all?

Check their info tab. (Large "I" on their panel)
There you can find their diet info.

Any animal who is a carnivore will eat human flesh. I fed my domestic cats on the frozen corpses of my enemies.

Well, according to their info tab they should be able to eat corpses - perhaps they just like the haygrass more? Well, I've restricted their area to exclude the barn with the stored haygrass so that they will now take care of the dead body disposal.

It would make sense if Pigs do eat human meat in Rimworld, as there have been documented cases of Pigs eating their owners. One example I can recall was where someone was mucking out their pigs when they suffered a fatal heart attack. They lived in a rural area and so no one was nearby to notice. When people realised that they had been missing for a while they went to her house and found what was left of their remains. The pigs had been eating the body.

So, after restricting their space my pigs finally eat the bodies. It seems I don't have enough pigs yet as the fresh bodies arrive significantly faster than the pigs can dispose of them. ;)
pigs are "omnivorous" as the game says, thus they will eat meat and plants, i think they may be eatting you haygrass first because corpses can be made into meat which has a higher nutrition so they may not want to eat it first

The Pickton Pig Farm, it's in my neighbourhood. I'm surprised nobody recalls that, and horrified at how short our memories really are.

Make a corpse freezer and restrict the pigs etc to the freezer. Not many animals will eat rotten bodies hence the need to freeze em. I know wargs will eat rotten corpses. Its also a great way to raise and breed dogs and sell them for profit which I do often (Keeping some for pets / colony defense).

Since you're already making haygrass, why not stretch out your human meat supply a bit by turning it into kibble?

Takes labor to make kibble, and butchering the humans instead of giving the corpses to the pigs upsets those who aren't crazy people.

Exactly - I want to turn raiders into nurtition without upsetting my pawns. Furthermore I save work for not needing to burry them if I feed them to the pigs.

It's more work than throwing them into a burn pit since you have to deal with their tainted clothes once they're devoured.

Actually, their clothes disappear to when eaten. You don't have to unpack them for your pigs. ;)
