for woody biomes, i agree with OP and prefer sandstone.
Yes, uranium is a mineral.
Granite and Limestone are my stone of choice for walls, for obvious reasons. Marble is strictly for sculptures, unless granite is the only other stone present.
Sandstone flooring bothers me because it's really hard to see dirt on it and thus tell your pawns to clean it up. I feel like it should have dirt resistance, or at least resistance to appeal penalties from dirt.
Statistically, marble is best for interior walls for that little bit of extra appeal. Fortification stuff obviously prefers granite or limestone for sturdiness but realistically it doesn't make much of a difference for a long time.
@ichifish there is a mod that lets you convert one type of stone in to another.
