Fails to recognize my research table room as a laboratory

Usually when I click on a research table in a room it will say something like Room: Laboratory(Mediocre). But the research table doesn't say that at all why doesn't it regonize the room as a laboratory? The walls are mostly slate and the floor is wood what else do I need for a laboratory?

The room designation relates to the items in it so a room with a door and nothing but a research bench should say laboratory.

Are there other items in the room?
When you click the beauty tool (bottom right) and hover the room, what does it indicate the role of the room is in the pop up?

u really dont need a lab as it still has that classification but is also classified as something else at the same time

it doesnt
only place it matters is rec room and dining room sinse having a nice one of those gives a mood buff
but if your rec room is your dining room you will get both buffs at once
bedrooms are also good to be fancy but all other room types are irrelevant

Nope, only thing it needs to be is clean and have a chair to sit on for comfort.
