Colonists not using dining room
So for some reason, even though I have a dining room, my colonists don't seem to like using it. I can find them eating in the freezer most of the time, even though it isn't halfway across the map. Now, I wouldn't be annoyed by this if it weren't for the fact THAT THEY COMPLAIN! Like, come on, if you are gonna eat on the floor of the freezer instead of in the dining room, at least deal with it.

Yeah, The dining room and freezer need to be real close to each other. I had the same issue, but managed to fix it. My pawns are currently only taking food from the very edge of the fridge which they then take to the very edge of my dining room. From this I think that around 15 tiles is too far. If it's any further, those lazy bums will just eat from the freezer floor.

You need a table within like 20-25 tiles of the food stockpile otherwise they wont use it reliably. The further it gets away the less likely they are to take the time to travel to it, especially if they are really hungry. I generally keep food in the actual dining room, like less than 10 tiles from the table.

This will only solve one meal a day though. Pawns will pick up an extra meal to carry with them and eat that wherever they are when they get hungry, which is very rarely near your dining room. The "ate without a table" debuff is one you are pretty much always going to see unless you take the effort of placing tables all over the map.

Thanks for the tips guys, although I sadly won't be able to use it on my current colony as rimworld decided to ♥♥♥♥ me over. Yaaaaay!
