How the heck do i install Royalty DLC?
First of all, i bought this only cos some of my mods were giving me red errors for missing stuff like "maxentrophy" etc. After taking weeks to remove error screen from my game startup, this was the last thing i wanted to get rid of.
I hate almost every aspect of the DLC and will do my best to avoid getting my colonists "infected" with royalty related stuff.
BUT(!), I cannot even put the damn thing in my mod list. - When i add it to the mod list right after core (in mod manager), the game restarts, and the DLC is kicked out of the mod list again.
So, even if i spent money on this DLC, i am still getting damn red errors from my mods for missing entropy definitions LOL!
Any ideas on what to do?

It's automatically installed and enabled by Steam
Harmony then Core then Royalty and then everything else. If royalty gets booted from the list but nothing else does then you modconfig.xml is set to read only or corrupted and you need to fix that first.

OK thank you!
will look into it right away.

wait, where exactly is the modconfig.XML located? I cannot find the file in c:/..... locallow/ludeonstudios/ any subdirectory . I also cannot find it in STEAM/ any subdirectory.

my wild guess is that mod manager removes the file and uses it's own mod list...
in locallow/ludeonstudios/rimworld by ludeonstudios/ there is subfolder "modlists" where mod manager saves modlists you create and save.

Modlists does not contain the main modconfig file, only copied lists.

C:\Users\{username}\AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld by Ludeon Studios\Config
is where the file is located.

AH! LOL! It was "ModsConfig", not "ModConfig" haha! OFC search function wouldn't find it kek

the file itself is not corrupt in any way and it is not read- only.
the list in the file looks sound too:
<li>brrainz.harmony</li>
<li>ludeon.rimworld</li>
<li>ludeon.rimworld.royalty</li>
<li>fluffy.modmanager</li>
<li>unlimitedhugs.hugslib</li>
<li>jecrell.jecstools</li>
etc...

try verifying your game files
Lailani01 Jun 3, 2020 @ 11:31am
and it ends like this:
</activeMods>
<knownExpansions>
<li>ludeon.rimworld.royalty</li>
</knownExpansions>
</ModsConfigData>

everything looks normal...

verified my game files and all is fine there too.

did you run the game after
Lailani01 Jun 3, 2020 @ 11:50am
yes. the game starts normally, with the DLC's ugly man on the screen, but it always loads without the actual DLC - the DLC gets kicked out from the mod list during game start.

meh NVM. i'm too tired for this. gonna just play without the DLC and so be it. Whatever the problem is, if it cannot be solved in few hours, i don't really even wanna know about it anymore. Gonna just forget the DLC ever existed. Thanks for suggestions. o/
