Get rid of hive / mech bodies?

I've got a ton of mechanoid bodies scattered all over my map. How can I get rid of them. My first thought was that I could melt them since they are mechanoids. No option there so my second thought was that I could cremate them like ordinary bodies. No luck there either... Am I missing something or what is process of getting rid of them? Thanks in advance.

you should be able to take them apart for spare parts and resources.

Research Machining, build a machining table, and set a job bill to Shred Mechanoids. They're a huge source of steel and plasteel, making them one of the most profitable raid types to get.

If you have researched machining, you can build the machining table, which has a bill you can add for disassembling mechanoids. Doing so will give small amounts of components, steel, and plasteel, though if you have as many corpses as you suggest, then it should give you quite a bit of those.

I like playing the tribe start and collecting their bodies till that glorious day i can harvest that mound of corpses for parts and material to make weapons and armor to kill more of their kind. Wearing and wielding the reshaped corpses of their fallen comrades. Ah good times.

They used to be a huge source of steel and plasteel. Now they are a minor source of steel.

Shoot, do they not give plasteel anymore? My mistake. Honestly they give me too much steel as it is but that is good to know, thank you.
