Anyone else having trouble getting colonists to hold drugs?
I have all the options selected which will allow them to carry them, and have them available and accessible. I can't force pick up the drugs like I can for weapons so how do I make them pick them up consistently?

You can assign drugs in the Assign tab and make it have the colonist be prescribed to hold onto a given amount of drugs at any given moment.

I've done that and they may eventually pick it up, but it isn't consistent from what I can gather when it happens.

So I think it is likely a bug. Apparently you can't have them hold onto it if they have the "Scheduled" section checked in addition to having a value above 0 in the "Take to inventory" section.

They take to their own inventory when they go to use the drug. So, if they go to the stockpile to use the drug, they will pick up the designated amount, too.
I do not know the behavior if they use the drug directly from their own inventory, i.e., if they then seek to refill their own inventory at that time or not, or wait until they need to visit the stockpile again.

I have this problem with my luci-addicted pawns in the current play through. After scheduling backfired I started manually making them pick up a stack, but they don't seem to reliably keep it in their inventory. I've had some real scares, like sending them caravanning and realizing they weren't going to make it.

I assume pawns are either supposed to clear their inventory of non-food, non-gear items or maybe something related to the While You're Up mod. I reset the drug policies after the latest update, so let's see if that works.

If anyone is having this issue aswell, i found that my issue was with the loadout option (apart of the Combat Extended mod)
