I do not know the behavior if they use the drug directly from their own inventory, i.e., if they then seek to refill their own inventory at that time or not, or wait until they need to visit the stockpile again.
I have this problem with my luci-addicted pawns in the current play through. After scheduling backfired I started manually making them pick up a stack, but they don't seem to reliably keep it in their inventory. I've had some real scares, like sending them caravanning and realizing they weren't going to make it.
I assume pawns are either supposed to clear their inventory of non-food, non-gear items or maybe something related to the While You're Up mod. I reset the drug policies after the latest update, so let's see if that works.
