Colonist in medical bed
I have a colonist who is sick and laying in a medical bed, being tended to by a doctor, but she keeps falling out of the bed and needing rescue. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Dose she need something so she try to stand up (Food)? Is her allowed to aid her selfe (Bandaging)? Had the same problem some time ago. Well my guy stand up and colapsed on the way to get some food.

She has been tended to, she has no need for food or medicine. She just keeps annoyingly popping out of the bed when I have her put back into it.

that has happened to me.
it got to the point I just had to uncheck all of their tasks with the exception of bed rest.

try right clicking on the bed and select rest until healed. idk, it might work.

Amputate their legs.

Setting 'Bed Rest' as their highest priority task is normally all you need to do when they are actively sick or wounded. Right click selecting 'Rest Until Healed' is a good suggestion for good measure.

There might be something else going on. Do they happen to have the 'Wimp' trait and have a disease like mechanites? Some diseases need periodic treatment but do not require continuous bed rest.
Coupled with 'Wimp' they could be attempting to go about their business once treated and then collapsing from the pain. In this case, right click 'Rest Until Healed' as well as 'Bed Rest' set to highest should do the trick. Administering a pain management drug like Psychite Tea could help them remain useful if you need them working.

Chronic pain and Wimp traits require the pawn to be on yayo for life or they need brain surgery. You can get the painstopper from trading with other settlements. Save the game before carrying out the surgery because it often fails so you need to reload the game

Same bug happened to me. I now have it in two different save games. Colonists who are set to stay in bed as number 1 priority, keep falling out of bed. They are unable to walk, so cannot feed themselves, and nobody can feed them or heal them since they cannot stay in bed long enough to be fed. They simply fall out of bed, and the feeding/healing gets aborted. I cannot progress in any of my save games anymore, since getting wounded or sick means certain death for any of my pawns.

Same here, I never had this happened before the last update and now I have had to burn 2 separate saves, I am on a 3rd fresh start and crossing my fingers no one gets injured but we are only on day 1 lol

I've found that putting them under anesthetic does the trick. something about a colonist being a wimp and -just- healthy enough to walk will drive them into a spiral of getting up and immediately falling down from even just medium level pain. It took a couple colonists before I finally figured it out, those poor fallen wimps.

But you cannot put them under anesthetic when they won't stay in bed... It's infinite loop this bug, ruined my 3rd save in a row... Actually it has never happened in past, only now...
