First things first, go into Steam -> Steamapps -> Workshop and delete .acf file with the number 294100. This should be steam's mods for Rimworld, which will then be forced to reinstall. Keep in mind the force reinstall will not work if you are still in the game.

EDIT: Woops I forgot you can try to verify file integrity too. Try to do that before trying to restart Steam. Just right click on Rimworld in the library, click on properties, and at the bottom should be the option to verify file integrity.

If that doesn't work, try completely shutting off steam, if you kow how to access the task manager or it's MacOS equivalent(I don't know if it has the same name). If not, then restart the entire computer.

Thank you, restarting steam made it work, i think it was a combination of removing the 294100 file and restarting because i have also been having issues with steam not updating games properly.

Removing the 294100 file and restarting steam fixed the problem for me

I tried both options and neither worked. Any other suggestions?

If anyone is coming to this thread and the answer listed above does not work:

Subscribe to any new mod, all of your mods will install in one mega chunk. I am currently waiting for 250+ mods to install as I type.
