I tamed like 20 guinea pigs!
Fairly easy to tame. They have a real short time between nuzzles, which is a nice +4 boost to colonists. They aren't very dirty at all. They eat next to nothing. And their fur sells for a lot. It's total win-win. I get a bunch of colonists that have a 24 hour +4 nuzzle mood, and then when their are to many of them I just slaughter them and sell the fur.

Oh nice. I've never bothered taming or maintaining any animals, but I've considered trying it out. Do you make a home for them? Got any tips, or recommend other animals worth taming?

Well it's nice to have a few pack animals that can carry a lot for caravans. It's also nice to train a few of the predator animals since you can usually train them to help you when you are attacked. There is a "release" option when yer being attacked. Pretty fun sending like 10 wolfs or wargs at yer enemies. I also train a few non predator animals to use as "tanks" during combat. Rhinoceroses work particularly well (but are fairly hard to tame). You can also use animals like muffalo to sever the tank role. Bears also make good tanks.
