I thought pemmican was a gross made up future food.
Little did I know its gross real past food.

I took a peek at the nutrition label on my beef jerky.

Total Protein: 20% of recommended daily intake. Total Sodium: 22% of RDI.

Total Fat: 2%.

That's a problem. Pemmican is (as the OP's video says) a SURVIVAL food. Beef jerky probably isn't. The fat content is way too low--if you tried to make beef jerky a staple, you would likely have the same problem as pioneers whose diet consisted of rabbit meat.

Beef jerky should be labeled as a fun food. Same goes for ramen and Twinkies.

Pemmican is dried meat and fat, spiced to taste. I had some years ago, and I all I remember is that it tasted meaty and bland.

Pemmican is usually meat, fat, and berries, and yeah, imo is utterly meh. But it's full of calories and protein, you won't get scurvy, and it lasts essentially forever. It's pretty important in Northern American history; there's been a WAR over it o.o'.

Sounds like you (or whoever made your pemmican) need to work on that "spiced to taste" step.

"Where's the murder?"
"Over here. Stabbed in the face with a kitchen knife."
"Who's the stiff?"
"A buzz."
"You mean......??"
"That's right. We got a buzzkill on our hands."

Can't kill MY buzz. Just bought a factory-cert reconditioned Acer Helios 300 with top-line kit for about $1200, WAY below list; totally cheesed for it showing up =D

That 9750H hexacore tops at 4.5 GHz, full TurboBoost! Pretty crazy single-core performance, oughta finally run all the things my current potato won't even pretend to, especially with the 2060 RTX.
