Not that much of a loss compared to a auto.
Since the nerfs turrets are soo crap. Especially mini turrets. 2 bullets with terrible accuracy and damage? No thanks. Theyre only useful as distractions now.
Now slug turrets and autos are decent but very expensive to build, and you now need a lot more of them to compensate for their nerfs.
1 Autocannon vs. 4 mini turrets - I need to look at the current game stats. It keeps changing. I strongly suspect the autocannon is strictly superior, with more DPS, range, and better chance for outright single-shot kills.
The only drawback would be overkill, which is only an issue if you're facing a manhunting pack of ducks or something. Against humans or mechs, the autocannons aren't so powerful that individual attacks get wasted.
as turrets only will be overrun by manhunter packs without traps and mines protecting them
