prevent blight spread?
is it possible that you can spread out your growing zones in a way that prevents blight from spreading to other zones?

I'm looking at the decompile code. In TryReproduceNow(), the game draws a circle with a radius of 4, except this is RimWorld and the center tile is tile 1, so all tiles up to 3 away, checks to see if there are any blightable plants, and blights one at random. There is no roof check; there is no wall check.

i don't know if this helps at all but I always put concrete tiles in between each growing zone
this *SEEMS* to help prevent it spreading, or even starting, but this could all be coincidence.

just a single tile seems to work, sometimes I do two tiles if I have the room

1 does not work, sometimes ive seen it jump 2 tile gaps, i think the largest is three, however the speed that it spreads seems to also be exponentially related to distance

i agree that one paved tile does nothing. I just had blight wipe out most of my crops and they all had 1 gap distance.

IIRC 1.0 blight was able to jump 2 tiles gaps, so 3 tiles between growing zones prevented spread.
Im just started again to play on 1.1, still dont got any blight events, so idk if they changed this or not. But i would say 3 tiles gap is the safest.

Paving does nothing about blight, btw, it's all in the spacing. Putting 3 paved tiles between fields, however, will prevent the spread of fire, as well.

Does blight spread and intensity affected by game difficulty?
Razor 2.3 May 13, 2020 @ 7:08am
Nope, bight in general makes no references to difficulty level.

I *believe so* but I'm not sure ^^'. You might want to ask on the official General Discussion forum[ludeon.com].

No but frequency of event may be affected.
