Can i force my prisoners to work or sell them?
Have the dev(s) ever talked about making prisoners slaves without recruiting them.
Like making them mine, clean or even selling them for money.

You can certainly sell them. Just need to have a pirate merchant stop by. Basically the same people you can buy slaves from, will purchase your prisoners.

As far as slave labor goes, I haven't ever heard of anything from the dev in those regards.

well to put them to work u simply recruit them, some form of enforced labour ( short of slavery) but perhaps chain gang type stuff could be an option

Or, alternatively, you can harvest their organs. They can come in handy if yo uget a new colonist with some health problems

You can sneakily make them work for you by putting some sort of crafting station and some materials in their cell. When they get bored, they'll make stuff. Then you can take it off them and use or sell it.

The best part of this is that if they enjoy crafting, this will actually improve their mood and make them more inclined to 'properly' join you.

well, even your citizens are your slaves in some aspect.

It is sort of, "alpha" that every prisoner will cause the same upset to your colony when you get rid of them, either through organ removal or selling them to a slaver.

Let's look at 2 prisoners:

Prisoner A is a career criminal, they're a firestarter, throw ♥♥♥♥ at monkeys, steal people's things, refuse to work, and pushes nuns down flights of stairs.

Prisoner B reads books to the blind, they rescue lost puppies, protect the environment, grow kombucha, and loves horses and Jesus.

Yet if I carve up either, my people are equally upset. If I sell either, it's the same thing.

No, I believe it was more of a suggested cool thing that could be implemented.

No, they sometimes will. It's not very reliable, but if they have nothing else to do and they enjoy crafting they do make stuff occasionally.

I'm intrigued, so I may give this a try, lol.

Selling raiders is good business.

As for slaves - not prisoners as such but if you can convert them to join you can certainly give them slave like conditions and keep them locked away in their own prison like area.

Capture, coerce them to join you, strip their weapons, put them to work LONG hours in walled off/indoor areas and just beat them up every time they try to rage/escape... eventually they will volunteer for the organ harvesting program. Repeat until avocado.
