Rabbit farming
So i've noticed the little buggers actually do breed like rabbits, quickly expanding in population from four rabbits to nearly twenty baby bunnies waiting for the butcher block. What I can't figure out is how much haygrass it takes to feed them per day so that I can make enough.

Its interesting. You came to ask a question but you didin't actually ask a question. I do understand what you were trying to say. I would wait for the start of the day. Pause. Write down the number of hay you have. Pause at the end of the day and do the math to figure out how much hay was eaten. That being said always plan to have extra. They could breed faster than expected, or you could end up getting self tamed animals that need some food.

Yeah, wrote that out in the five minutes before I walked out the door for work.

Any idea how to figure out the per-diem nutrition consumption for animals?

While i cant tell you how much haygrass you need , i can tell you that farming animals aside Alpacas is utterly a waste of time.

if you have space and recources to actually farm animals you wont have a problem to get meat on this maps be it from summer hunting or manhunter packs filling your rooms with corpses.

the only reason i even bother with Alspacas is that their wool makes the very best clothing (-77 to +77°C comfortable range with cowboy hat/duster or -110 to 50 °C with parker and tuque) aside from Muffalo whool ,but those buggers eat twice as much food and only produce half as fast whool.

I dunno; I had a chicken farm in one game and I ended up not having to hunt AT ALL anymore
