If give luciferium to hen, will she grows her legs back?
Day 1. My team settled in some ancient ruin which happen to be unprotected and contained a stash of luciferium, amongst other things.
Day 2. Manhunting hen, and rooster paid a visit. Rooster was KIA, but hen merely incapacitated, which gave me idea of taming her and have some egg production going.
Unfortunately, hen is missing both legs, one was shot off and other cut off. I can't find chicken legs anywhere, maybe pet warg, Piccolo, ate them.
It doesn't prevent her from laying eggs, but having to manually feed her, does not seem to be productve. I didn't find and option of installing peg legs (I know there's mod for that), but I do have an option of giving her luciferium. I heard it can restore some big trauma, I'll also, probably, make chicken go berserk again.

Also, if chicken eats luciferuim and we eat her eggs or meat, well we be affected by luciferium?

no luciferium only heals brain damage and old scars, if you want the legs replaced i believe youll have to download "A dog said..." mod, and no, food products like eggs or meat dont carry over the luciferium, or any drug effects

Well, colony is ofiicially named "Prinny landng" now. Even if chicken will not survive the operation she will be remembered. Also, she's not tamed yet, so Piccolo can eat her.
Do wargs hunt, if they are allowed into food storage?
Wargs will hunt if they have no meat supply. I think they will go for dead/raw meat in preference to wild chicken thats alive.

Amongst all features, ensures that predators which can hunt will hunt for their food if possible. Just set predator/prey strength ratio to 0.5 in mod settings. Train them haul, and they will even bring you leftovers!

One of the best thread titles I've seen in a while.
I'm not sure if the chicken will lay eggs while not tamed, but if it does or you tame it, I believe it will eat any food right next to in, so you could make a stockpile right next to it, or place it in a grass heavy area.

I'm not sure about the latter though.

I had this idea one time to give a chicken luciferium and install a scyther blade on it's tail since it was lost to frostbite..

Update on situation: wild chicken on peg legs now wobbles around and lays unfertile eggs. Dodged 21% tame chance 3 or 4 times already.

Piccolo ate rooster's corpse, next on menu is racoon who came too close to my hen and was stabbed by 64 old space station cook, who came on escape pod.

Two of original colonists: father and son, were hit by the plague. They were the only ones capable of doctoring, so when plague bacame extreme and incapacitated them, other two ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥: (cook an vat grown soldier) refused to tend and feed them.
Son, who was older, died, with 98% immunity, father almost died from starvation, but was able to crawl into food storage on his own.

Well, this is when you shoud've used Luci. It almost doubles immunity gain speed.

By the time I realised that, both doctors were down, so there was no way to give them drugs.
He was 64 year old half deaf with bad back, no big loss. Now, however, I'm sitting on a single doctor and nobody to save him, if something happens.
Hen is now tame and sleeps next to Piccolo. Outer walls are built and predators flushed out, chances are, she will be the sole survivor.

are you sure letting the hen sleep next to piccolo is a good idea? he may decide to finish what he started...

It already has and is just watching quietly until the plague runs it's inevitable course.
