As for how long it takes to beat depends on so many different things. If you count in game days I've seen it done on 5-7 in days. In real time I think the record was 30 min, might be wrong on this. But that said the entire focus has been on leaving the planet.
As for myself and my 279 hours I have yet to "win" at all, simply because I don't have it as a focus.
That's not where the fun from this game comes from, however. The fun comes from how much chaos you can put your pawns through, how they may (or may not!) get by when weather and food becomes a challenge, how many enemies come into that next wave and if your pawns can hold the line or not (which is much more entertaining than noob-friendly killboxes).
This is one of those games that - sometimes - is more fun to lose than win.
You have to research the ship etc to build it and get a core/gold and plasteel...I cant see how you could possibly do that in a week without mods or cheating.
Probably 3-5+ years on average...of course depends on RNG to a degree and difficulty.
It's done by having the right colonists on the right map, gotta have the right start.
Some of the streamers on Twitch have been competing on it.
Hmmm wow that's interesting...
But maybe if you start with 1 pro miner and 2 pro researchers you can get through the rest pretty quick. Don't even build beds or housing.
My average game is probably along the lines of 20-30 hours before I either build the ship, get killed or just get bored because I've reached a point where it doesn't feel challenging anymore.
This is usually where mine falter, I'll start a new colony then get bored of it, or have a new idea for a different start. I keep trying to do a minimalistic start but then my one character comes down with mechanites or some ♥♥♥♥ like that and of course can't treat yourself yet
Have a link?
Again unless they are spawning stuff in or cheating in some way, you arent going to get all that happen in one week.
I imagine you'd have to be Randy as storyteller and then pray for a mech drop, then pray further it has a core.
And honestly I dont think you could get the rest done either way without setting everything up and manipulating your start.
