Are you high? ”SUNLAMPS” is there any sun when it’s night?

Jesus.

Without mods, plants only grow during the day.

OP brings up a good point. If there are multiple suns affecting these planets, it is conceivable that there is a sun up at all times of the day.

Doesn't matter; sunlamps turning on at night WILL NOT help and will still consume huge amounts of power. Plants only grow at night in RW, barring mods.

Yep that's how sunlamps work.

They only turn on during the day to mimic sunlight for plant growing.

You can use 2 solar panels to power a sunlamp since they use a lot of power and turn off during the night. It syncs up quite nicely.

If you're using sunlamps just to light workspaces and dining rooms, I recommend just swapping them out for regular lamps. Sunlamps don't do anything other than allow crops to be grown indoors, from what I know.

Well, they DO provide useful light for other puposes, although at wasteful expense.

Sun lamps are for growing crops indoors and under a roof, but plants still need a rest period so they turn off at night. If your natural climate is enough to grow, then you don't really need sun lamps.

I remember colonists getting a mood buff once, I think that's removed?

Or if you get a few months of toxic fallout and don't have a lot of reserves.
