Armor for cold biomes

As a challenge I have a ice biome.

It sure is a challenge. At least everyone has a parka and thirt with pants.
And a flak.

But my Pawns die soon in battles.

What is the most protective outfit for - 50 battle fields?

regular power armor and stay indoor should be enough. Technically you don't need elaborate armor if you already have a kill box

They are traveling and hunting for ancient dangers in temp settlements
they need someting stronger i'm afraid then parka, and with only armor they freeze to death

thrumbofur or hyperweave clothing (dusters would be best) is the best you can do in terms of protection. helmets offer alot of protection, but no insulation, and toques can offer alot of insulation.
the temps are a part of the challenge. as suggested, a large part of it is to have good defense. it also helps to keep your colony wealth as low as possible.

exell marine arm provides 40.8. cata helm 4.8, pants + button down shirt -12. should be just enough.

Ice biome is tough. You just have to limit exposure to the extreme cold and decide if armor is better than cold protection.

The raiders will be in the same boat. If they arrived with armor and not parkas then they will start freezing soon, too.
