I'm not aware of any mods that do what Royalty does.
RoM for a variant of the psycasts (yo can use the similar Star Wars The Force mod for that if you want a more sci-fi experience).

EDIT: the previes says RoM being 1.0 but I can vouch for it being 1.1 compatible
You don't want to enter into that discussion but have no problem slandering the dev by accusing him of re-skinning mods?
Notably, there's supposed to be so many mods that do everything Royalty does, but no, there actually aren't (according to the mod makers themselves, mind you) nor can you be sure content-heavy mods will "play nice" with each other. While I don't care to buy Royalty, myself – I run only 7 mods, as-is, including Hugslib and Harmony – the hysteria and rancor over Royalty gets pretty old. Don't like it? Don't buy it and save us the pickle-juice-soaked tirade, please!
Mods may have scratched the surface of these things, but the DLC made more use of everything while including it in a single package that can be further modified.
I completely understand not liking/wanting the Royalty DLC; as I mentioned above, I don't care for it either. Complaining about its existence, however, is beyond foolish -.-' .
