How to show animal's name?

I have my animals, and they're all named like muffalo 1 or alpaca 7, but it's not showing that, so I don't get to see the social stuff. It just gets sorta annoying when I'm trading and I don't know who to trade because I don't know who's who. Do you know how to show their names?

You can name them something better by going in their info pane. One of the tabs has a little button towards the top right for renaming.

If you are talking about seeing their name while looking at the map, then you can set that in the main game options. I think it is a choice of 3 different settings. IIRC... show no names, show only named animals, show all animals names.

As per BlackSmokeDMax, you can rename them. So you can even decide which animal to keep by giving them specific names, whilst ignoring the others you want to sell.
