Slave traders

I would like to know why slave traders are so rare. I started this colony in the jungle - rough difficulty - and at the start, so many slave traders were coming. Now, its been like 3 years - rimworld time - since I had any. I just keep getting Shaman merchants and Bulk Goods traders.

Slave traders tend to come from <neutral factions (the ones that range between -30 to 0). In any game you tend to alienate factions or befriend them causing slave trader to eventually disappear (or this is my logic behind it after seeing it happen a couple of time in my own games...could be coïncedence ofc).

If you need slaves however (buy or sell), most factions on the map that start out as hostile, once you donate enough silver to them to get in positive rep, actually sell/buy slaves if you visit them in a caravan.
