Info on Smoke Launcher Mechanics?
Hello everyone, the info I'm finding on searches is generic and not in-depth. I would like to know more about the smoke launcher, how effective the smoke is, what it does and how it can benefit me in tactical combat, if im in smoke its harder to hit me? How much? Is it worse accuracy for me shooting out from the smoke?

Please chime in share what you know and help educate me and others.

pawns within the smoke and enemies shooting at those pawns will have accuracy penalties when shooting at each other through the smoke. (not sure if this applies to melee)

it's very effective when attacking immobile targets like turrets at melee range.

too bad the enemy AI really sucks at using smoke launchers and EMP. especially since pawns doesn't have the ability to switch between different weapons in their inventory to use for the right job.

Sidearms mod gives this ability to players, but raider AI still doesn't seem to be able to properly utilize it.

heck, i'd be glad if enemy psychics actually use psycasts properly in combat, along with smoke and emp

for one smoke disables a turret's ability to fire completely or if they can fire, it would greatly reduce its accuracy

anything inside the smoke gets a cover buff and a accuracy debuff, enemy or foe.

if im not mistaken it also works if its inbetween target and shooter.

while techinically emp is better for disabling, emp does not provide smoke cover. smoke will not disable mechanoids but can reduce their range accuracy, though snoking mechs would also give them cover which will help scythers.

personally i would go for emp but if its not an option i would use smoke launchers but its really up to you.
