I even double up on this:
I will create dumping stockpiles out in the field and set them to low prio whilst my dumping stockpile in my base is set to normal. Then include the normal priority one in the ingredient radius of my workbench. Stockpiles in my base get filled from the stockpiles in the field and THOSE get filled when the stockpile in my base is full...if both are empty they will drag it to the one in my base.
It allows for a gimmick that I can start hoarding chunks from all over the map into selective spots which makes travel time a lot less; thanks for that lesson Factorio :)
