how to amputate?
so im enjoying the game i have a prisoner who need to lose a leg so i got the bionics mod and i have bionic leg ready but how do i amputate his leg to put the bionic one on? everytime i right click my prisoner it says strip. Am i doing something wrong?

It's not by right-clicking, but left-click on him and open the health tab. Then, in operations, you should be able to add a bill to install a bionic leg on him (that automatically dumps the original leg into oblivion). Also make sure that the prisoner is allowed a (reserved to prisoners) medical bed and decent medicine to do that operation, wouldn't want to waste bionic leg failing surgery on a cavern floor.

You already got your answer, but I am curious. Why exactly would you pop a bionic leg on a prisoner?

im trying to recruit him and he had alcohol for whole body and he went berserk for going threw withdrawal so i melee him and damaged his leg real bad so i put a bionic leg on him. Also he had a major infection.

Amputate his leg to get rid of the infection. But only give him the bionic leg AFTER he's recruited.
IF he's ever recruited... some people are really stubborn :)

Ah. I see. Good call then. Just in case you didn't know you can also just do peg legs with a piece of wood if you don't have real prosthetics available.
Edit: I agree with Haidunia. Give him a peg first to save him and then switch out for the bionic later

There should be a mod to allow other materials for peg legs for a, you know, miniscule increase in movement efficiency. Plasteel peg leg, 105% of wooden peg leg speed. :) Actually now that I say it what do you want to bet there is one?
