On the first colony it wasnt until we had 10-12 colonists and a lot of animals / resources that desyncs became regular.
The 2 separate colonies were desycing right from the getgo.
Also I don't think he had any issues with his side desyncing, but I would desync even as the host.
im am currently playing with a friend, we only had issues if mods were loaded.
But the colony is still small, but thanks for sharing your infos maybe it will get worse if the colony reach a certain size.
Sell that 18k wood. Keep only 2k. You'll literally never need more than 2k wood unless you have a spam of generators.
Also, you said your friend likes taming every single animal. Does he/she tame useless animals like hare, rats, squirrels and turtles aswell? If yes then you should do something about them as they are useless besides being cannon fodders and are just eating resources. Best if they get butchered for food.
